My first encounter with Paper Sculpting or 纸雕 (zhǐ diāo)

It was in the year 1992-1993 when a Shearite friend of mine named Andrew Tan showed me a book he borrowed from the library. The book consisted of animal design that is to cut out and be folded into 3D model. However It is unlike origami which use a single piece of paper with minimal cutting

Instantly I had to make a copy of it which I have kept the duplicate copies for years which I will print a copy to create an animal craft here and there. It was with the advent of internet that I was able to search for original copy of this book via Yahoo auction Taiwan.
