My first book from Dr Tan WK of MOE

Jack and the Carnivorous Pitcher Plant is the first book I received from Dr Tan WK not personally but from a common friend Kenneth. He knows that both of us have a common interest and that is through stamps collecting. 

It is a very well written book that will draw interest for young kids and adults towards one our native plant with many names such Periok Kera ( Monkey-pot plant ) from Malay , 猪笼草 ( pig cage plant ) from the Chinese , Pitcher plant and scientific name = Nepethes which means in Greek no grief or pain

 

The books also drew further interest to understand the economics of Nepethes export for hobbyists and a simple explanation of theory of evolution via natural selection whereby some Nepethes species are SAME SAME but DIFFERENT based on continent shift

The book comes with a nice cover known as dust jacket that when opened up is a boardgame. Such wonderful design

It was years later that we have the chance meet each other for rounds of kopi
